Hi ya Gorgeous!
TGIF! Happy Friyay and say hello to the weekend and some much needed shabbat!

Which highlighter do you like best? Do you think they look the same?

I
think the essence cosmetics pure nude highlighter in 10 be my highlight
is a perfect dupe for the MAC Cosmetics Trip the Light Fantastic powder
in Lunar Luster.

You can find essence cosmetics products online at their main website, Amazon or Ulta Beauty stores nationwide.

MAC Cosmetics are sold online, and in some department stores as well as stand alone brick and mortar stores. If you are a Star Trek fan, you will want to get at least one of the makeup pieces in the collection.

Holla Gorgeous!

Happy Monday. I love Mondays!

Now it’s over a week since I have attended the Generation Beauty event in Los Angeles at the LA Live event deck.

Loved it! In fact, I will have my review videos and product review posts coming out this week. Why so long?

Because when I got home last Monday, I instantly launched into LEGO Robotic Camp Mom mode for my Mancub’s week of engineering and building robots.

I created a “how to” video for the Generation Beauty app. Why? Because it’s news I wish I had before I got to the event. Yes, I had a plan. But I didn’t have enough of a plan or a Plan B, Plan C and a Plan C 1/2.

Now about that video…

Hello Gorgeous!

Back to school starts tomorrow in Arizona! Already and so soon!
So hit the back to school sales at Macy’s, Kohl’s or J.C. Penney’s.
At JC Penneys you can get a fun, flirty BWEAR butterfly shirt.
I’ve got mine layered over a teal tank top to coordinate with my teal eyeshadow by AVON.
You can layer the B.Wear Butterfly shirt over any kind of tank to make it casual for school or fancy
for going out to dinner or social events. Remember to log onto the store websites to check for sales and coupons!

Now for the ‘Back to School’ makeup! Most likely you are going to apply early in the morning for a long and busy day at school. Try AVON Extra Lasting foundation to make it the full 8 hours in class and then touch up with powder as needed for after school functions.

I”m also wearing the AVON Extra Lasting eyeshadow in Teal-this can be applied as an eyeliner or as an all over eyeshadow color.

I’ve got the Extra Lasting on in lipstick X50 which is a light shimmery beige-it looks sort of like someting Jennifer Lopez would wear?  I topped the lipstick off with the Extra Lasting lipgloss in Rose. These few things in a locker or backpack can keep your beauty fresh and let you focus on your school work and not on your makeup!

Enjoy this short tutorial video that demonstrates how I used the products.

p.s. To get the AVON products visit www.avon.com There you can shop off the website or put in your zip code to find a local AVON lady near you. Or, BEST yet-why don’t you sign up to sell AVON and build a wee business alongside your school work? Work smart not hard ladies!

Pound the pavement with the right base. Begin your beauty regime with a primer that fills in fine lines and pores for a flawless finish! Give Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer a try. It helps to inhibit the destruction of collagen so you can look flawless for years to come at your corner office.

Sleepless night from nerves? Cover up those under-eye bags, puffiness, or any other perfections with Tarte’s Dark Circle Defense. The finely milled light refracting minerals actually brighten skin to help camouflage dark circles, puffiness, refness, fine lines and wrinkles. And there’s 56% reduction in eye puffiness after 4 weeks–but we know you’ll nail that interview the first go-round!

Sparkle and glitter aren’t office appropriate. Opt for a matte shadow in a natural hue on the lids. We love Revlon’s ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow in In The Buff. Better yet, go for a thin line of smudged pencil eyeliner. Sue Devitt’s Eye Intensifier Pencil is great. Nylon and a number of other ingredients lock in moisture and expand and contract with facial movements without creasing to create a long-lasting, luminious eye.

Stop fussing with and reapplying your makeup! Ditch the trips to the ladies’ and mist on a product that holds concealer, foundation and eyeshadow in place for up to 16 hours. Skindinavia Makeup Finishes creates a flawless look so there’s less touch ups throughout the day. Since it resists heat and humidity, the mist is also great for when that mid-interview perspiration occurs!

OTHER TIPS:

•For your face, you probably won’t need much more than concealer and loose powder. If you have blemishes or uneven skin tone, by all means, use a foundation! But if you don’t need much coverage, just skip it.
•Wear lipstick, not lip gloss. Gloss is too shiny and youthful for a formal occasion like an interview.
•Well-groomed brows show that you pay attention to details. Tweeze any stray hairs, and if you have brow gel, use it to set your brows in place. (A tiny bit of hair gel, diluted with water, can do the same thing.)
•Applying a little bit of blush makes everyone look healthier. Use this rather than bronzer for a natural-looking, healthy glow.
•Don’t wear any perfume. “Oh, but I love my signature scent,” you might be saying. Yes, and it probably smells lovely, but what if your interviewer has an allergy? Skip it.
•Unless you have naturally clean, even, hangnail-free nails, get a manicure. It doesn’t matter whether your nails are long or short, but they should be neatly filed. Don’t opt for a French manicure — many find it dated.
