And while you spend your time agonizing over them and trying to cover them up, have you ever paused to wonder what really causes your wrinkles? Or how to prevent them from cropping up in the first place? We fill you in on all these answers here.
Hello Gorgeous,
Phoenix Fashion Week 2011 is over and what a whirlwind it was!
There was a lot of talent on the runway from the
designers, to the HMU teams, the photographers
and behind the scenes set up and administrative teams who made it all happen!
Some of my favorite highlights from the week are:
Meeting Deeds of Love: Trenell Floyd the founder, Monyca Cordova the designer, and Gavin Tucker the lead model for the line.
I also really enjoyed meeting Indi Apparel creator Diana Lopez! The video at the bottom is a clip of her designs on the runway.
Last but not least I think my most favorite part was connecting with fellow beauty/fashion/style bloggers-especially Ms. Arin of http://ateenview.com
So here’s the video and I’m back to beauty: like, reviewing the Ambi skin lightener.
I have been experimenting with it a bit on a wee freckle on my leg-and it stings. So-not quite ready to put this on my face. More on that later. Stay tuned for the upcoming videos on creating a costumed look for parties, plus the week of guest blogs from amazing women sharing on this months anti-bullying campaign.

We know how hard it is to drive past the two gorgeous golden arches of McDonald’s. But as you well know, fast food and a poor diet affect your skin in addition to your health. So when three women came to us in search for some help with their less-than-stellar eating habits, we hooked them up with a team of people who could give their diets the overhaul they needed. See the tips and implement them for your own healthy diet makeover now.
Hello sweet Gorgeous and fashion lover!
Wow-has the week really gone by this fast and far?
Here I am standing with Phoenix Fashion Week team lead Melisssa Rein of A Brand Consortium as the media day kicks off and yet it went by so fast!
The Collins College award winner has been announced-Shankapotomus won for a basic golf tee looking shirt with plaid and pink on it. Oh joy!
Now, this edgy and unique look which is a take on Japan with influences in the fabric and style being represented.
Remember-when it comes to fashion: it comes out of Japan, makes its way to New York then circles to London, Milan and finally back around to Los Angeles and curls it’s tail up at Arizona in the Phoenix desert.
I’m lucky enough to have been represented at the Phoenix Fashion week by long time contributors CDB: Christopher Drummond beauty which you can see me using the new compact by the line. I’m also represented at this event by Murad, Maya Water and the beautiful simple to use Violent Lips tattoos! Get some now for your costume party events coming up!
Out of all the ‘fashioning’ that I did-there were two lines that really stuck out to me as the lines that are going to go the distance and will soon be sold in Macy’s as well as Nordstroms and boutiques and those lines are:
Deeds of Love by Trenell (photographed with his young son and upcoming entrepreneur) and Indi Apparel by Diana Lopez-who makes stylish clothes that are ready to travel and look fabulous on a moments notice!
Wow-the Phoenix Fashion week was amazing-now, onto Scottsdale Fashion Week in the spring!
Thanks again to the product sponsors who shared product to give away to the blog/Tweet party:
Maya Norweigian water, Murad skin care, and of course:
Violent Lips tattoos!

We know — styling your curly hair can sometimes feel like dealing with a screaming, unpredictable toddler. So what do you do? Do you give in and toss your hair into a ponytail? Or, do you fight back with a haircut that inspires your hair to obey? We think the latter. And you will too after you see these cuts.
Hello Gorgeous!
Not only is it Yom Kippur time-phew, thank God for prayer, fasting and a good ‘ol time of repentance-it’s also Phoenix Fashion Week here in the beautiful desert of Arizona.
The charity fashion party was fun-but it quickly got down to business on the runway with model Briana Robertson in a show stopping blue jacket!
The models and clothes came at a steady pace down the 80 foot runway at TSR-the moniker for Talking Stick resort and casino which is really beautiful!
Meet up and coming model Gavin Tucker who is multi-tasking his talents to the max with attending Grand Canyon University, playing middle/infield in baseball and working a successful model career! Keep your eyes on Gavin as he models for Deeds of Love also-which, as I understand is in the front for winning the Emerging Designer award at Phoenix Fashion Week 2011.
Fellow blogger Arin of http://ateenview.com/ is joining me on the red carpet as we arrive for the Vitamin Water and Popcorn Chips hosted blogger party. The lounge was certainly different than other blogger events that I’ve attended but then again, it’s always nice to be invited.
I met some amazing fashion bloggers like My Thirty Spot attending this event and I think it’s good to mix it up abit! So expect to see some more fashion mixed in with all the makeup!
Here Arin and I are lounging before blogging.
Speaking of lounge-did I mention that Popcorn Chips sponsored the blog lounge? BBQ is my favorite followed by cheddar but please don’t go near the salt and pepper flavor because it’s too much like a dusty rice cake from the 1980′s diet craze. Don’t ask how I know about anything 80′s or diet.
This is Brian Hill-the founder and driving force behing the Phoenix Fashion Week which is in it’s 7th year. Does that surprise you? Expect to see more, much more come out of Phoenix!
There were 4 main collections shown from Velvet Boutique, Te Boutique, Bilby and Moss plus the emerging designers like Deeds of Love and Indi Apparel.
The main website is full of photos and video! Go see! http://www.phoenixfashionweek.com/
There is still time to get in on the fashion and fun at TSR-Talking Stick Resort! Check the website for ticket information-and remember, the best seats are actually the standing area around the stage and resort chairs.

You’ve curled them, you’ve heated them, you’ve begged and pleaded and tried every “curling mascara” on the market to no avail. Those lashes still insist on projecting straight down. We’ve been there too, which is why we talked to celebrity makeup guru Taylor Chang-Babaian, who shared her tips that will get even the most stubborn eyelashes to curl.

You know that exfoliating is a crucial step in your skin care routine. It can help diminish fine lines and pore size and improve overall skin texture. But to get these awesome benefits, you have to use the right face scrub — and you don’t want to have to try a bunch of worthless ones to find the product that’ll work best. That’s why we put together this list of reader raves and rants.
