Black Friday Gift Giving Guide

Hi ya Gorgeous,Well, it’s Black Friday – people are going crazy, right now, trying to get a tv for $1. Good luck to them!

In other news, I have my favorite products for the beauty lover and their stocking stuffers, a gentleman and some makeups for the gamut in price range for others.

Let’s get started!

I’m a big fan of 7th Heaven single satchet masks! These average $2 a piece! They make a perfect stocking stuffer for the beauty lover in your life!

In the photo from left on top to right, then the second row left to right:  Passion Peel Off mask, Chocolate Mud Masque, Hot Spring Sauna Masque, Creamy Coconut mask, and for men,  the Deep Pore Cleansing peel Off mask.  You can find find these at Ulta Beauty, Walmart, Kmart, Bed Bath & Beyond and Harmon Discount stores!

Just for those with beards and facial hair that needs extra care, the Beard Guyz have created a daily wash and deep conditioner for cleansing the beard of food particles, bacteria, excess oils and to soften the facial hair.  Each bottle is $9.99 and is gentle enough for daily use.

Available from the BeardGuyz.com website, or at CVS, Walgreens and HEB stores.

Also for the beard, especially in Movember, the Beard Guyz  offer a Nighttime Beard Growth serum to help facial hair growth, rehydrate dry hair and has an intense growth formula that works as the eard owner sleeps!

They also have a Beard Scentz Original spray that is pocket sized and a perfect stocking stuffer for the beard wearerer on your gift list because this wee spray will help freshen and sanitize a beard!  Find online at BeardGuyz.com or your local Publix, Wegmans, Meijer or Bed Bath and Beyond store.

For the classic shaver on the  gift list, consider the Van Der Hagen Premium Shave Set. It’s a traditional shave set that is perfect for the beginner or man who prefers a more traditional shave.

The set is just $13.99 and a gift that can be used daily and last for months to come!

There is also a Van Der Hagen traditional safety razor that makes a perfect companion to the premium shave set. It comes with stainless steel razor blades and a lifetime warranty and is available for $19.99

Now for those who love makeup, like me – this new line of colors from TIGI Cosmetics is gorgeous and richly pigmented! Many of these products are available at Walmart and Walmart.com as well as some Ulta Beauty stores and are in the $10-20 range.

I love the shadows in the Love Affair quad! I can do my shadows, brows and liners, all in this quad!  The bronzer cheek duo, called Lovely Duo blush is highly pigmented and a shimmery bronze tone that can do both highlight, cheek color and a bit of  contour even!

Now, I love the Foxy color lip gloss and it feels and wears great. The mascara – and you must know – I am hard on mascaras as it is my favorite makeup product – this TIGI mascara is for those who like a light and natural lash look.

For the other end of the the makeup price spectrum, let’s look at Hard Candy, available exclusively at Walmart and online at Walmart.com.

I love this line for it’s bold use of color and innovative products, as well as their affordability. Most products are $10 and under!

I’ve already done a full review of these products, you can see that in this post here,  but these two products I think would be perfect gifts for the budget beauty lover on your gift list.

The Poppin’ Pigments are so versatile and the illuminating highlight is the same when it comes to 100 ways to use!

Where ever you are shopping today, be safe and have fun!

How to use the Beauty and the Beast makeup color story from LORAC for everyday wear

Hi ya GorgeousHow’s your Monday now? Or should I say, how’s your summer? Here in Arizona, the summer is in full broil and school for the cub starts back in 3  short weeks …or are they short? He is definitely ready to go back and see his friends which brings to mind the question that year round school, with a 2 week break in between semesters would do just fine. On to the makeup!

I recently received some very lovely samples from LORAC of their color story collection for the reboot of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Something to know going forward, I am ride or die for the original
1990’s animated version and none to thrilled about another warmed over
version of an Oscar winning trophy of a film.  In short, I have not seen the film yet, and when it arrives on Netflix, I will let you know my thoughts.

In the meantime, I think that LORAC has knocked it out of the park again, with Disney, and another amazing, collector edition of a makeup color story for a film. I was SO impressed with the Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales collection ,though this is just as stunning.

I have the eyeshadow pallet, cheek color palette, lipglosses and lipsticks and I’m beyond delighted! The colors are everyday perfect and if you know LORAC products, you know how soft, silky, smooth, blendable, pigmented, wet or dry they are!

I love all of the lip colors and the lipsticks or lip glosses can be worn alone, with liner, paired together or mixed and matched!

If you are a fan of anything Disney, Belle, Beast, the film or LORAC and special editions, rush to get these now because who knows how long they will be around!

Remember to let me know in the comments – if you were going to buy a film makeup color story – what products do you want to buy?

I’m
asking for your help so as I develop the makeup color story for BEARLY
film, Jael, ZBoy and Nascar Nights – I want to be sure and create the
top products that people are most interested in buying!

Personally, I live in bronzer and gloss – so those are top items for me to create! Looking forward to your thoughts!

These items are available on Amazon – if you need free shipping:
Lipgloss $34.00 http://amzn.to/2tzhNki
Cheeks $28.00 http://amzn.to/2utaA9X

Find these items at http://loraccosmetics.com or Ulta Beauty!

How to Makeup For Spring & Summer with Lancome Teint Idole Ultrawear

Hi ya Gorgeous!
TGIF!
Whoa. Okay. I can explain. No need for excuses. Though here it goes. In the beginning of 2017, I said I would only be posting on Monday due to my busy schedule with my feature film, Jael A Western Tale.  I am finished with the script, there are still a few roles to cast and then, the forever list of details that need to be managed and completed to get us to production!
You can learn more about it on it’s Facebook page here: http://facebook.com/jaelawesterntaleThis week, the focus is on the Influenster Vox Box from Lancome. Oh such sweet goodies!

I received these products for free as a gift to review and give my honest opinion. I can honestly say that I don’t really like the liquid form of the foundation but this stick is a dream! It’s a semi matte finish and dries down powdery without caking in face creases. Bonus! Then the concealer is thicker than my normal  brand but for those who need more coverage, I think you will enjoy the consistency, coverage and wear time! Which is long! I’m amazed by the click highlighter pen which when you click the button on the end it oozes out a bit of rose and gold shimmer liquid which more like a veil wash of color and highlight than an actual highlight powder or cream. I used it all over my face!  Finally, the lip gloss is light and can be work alone, over a lipstick or lip liner. It’s so versatile and perfect for your spring and summer looks! So like Lancome says, Don’t Glow It Alone!

Get yours at a Lancome counter near you or visit http://lancome.com

So part of my current over whelm is that while I am watching my feature film slowly … oh … so…slowly make it’s way to production, I did a documentary in the mean time. It was like taking a job on top of a job!

It’s completed and finishing up it’s distribution deal now, funny, how it’s easier to place a true story versus a fiction one!

This photo shows Purequosa. Otherwise known as  a stinky gal who swears she is not a germaphobes new best friend!

I received a sample from them to test and it came at the best time ever! I was en route from one NASCAR race in Las Vegas to another in Phoenix and it went from hot to hotter. This colloidal silver spray with essential oils is amazing! I used it on the surface of some places, in the air in others, on my skin and in my mouth for a freshening up!

It’s available on Amazon right now – and if you have kids, pets, relatives, a house, a car, armpits and yuck mouth – you need this! Your spring break will thank you!

Finally, my favorite segment, “What Are You Reading” this week!  I’m re-reading the #BeMore book by Sandi Krakowski.  I love it’s bite sized nuggets of inspiration and wisdom. Get yours on Amazon today! http://amzn.to/2nJjKeh

Okay, now let’s watch t his week’s video!

Veteran’s Day – Remember to say thank you and welcome home

Hi ya Gorgeous,
Today we take a break from our normally scheduled beauty talk to focus on something near to my heart and important.

In the United States, today is Veteran’s Day and it’s our chance to honor and remember the men and women of the military who have sacrificed their lives in service to our country.

http://veteransday-2016.com/

It’s very important, when you see someone, usually an old guy, wearing a Vietnam Veteran hat, that you tell the person, “thank you for your service and welcome home”. These boys, when they returned from the war, were met with disdain due to the political climate at the time. It wasn’t fair and it wasn’t right though it happened.

I do this every chance I get and it’s always met with grace and gratitude.

Here’s some details from the Veteran’s Day website:

Veterans Day is the memorial for
honoring American soldiers who served and sacrificed their lives in all
the warfare from World War I (WWI). The original name was Armistice Day
which marked the end WWI on the 11th hour, 11th day and 11th month of
1918. An anonymous US soldier was laid to rest at the national cemetery
at Arlington. Similar events took place in Arc de Triomphe, France and
Westminster Abbey in England on the same day. Since 1954 it was renamed
as Veterans Day in The US, declaring it as a formal holiday.
Origin
World War I started on 28th of July in
1914 between the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and
Ottoman Empire) and the Allied Forces (Empire of Britain, Russia,
France, USA, Japan, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Belgium, Portugal,
Romania, Greece, Hejaz and Siam). This war took toll of 9 million
military personnel and 7 million civilian lives.
And now a lil beauty talk … Rosie the Riveter how to video

Pound the pavement with the right base. Begin your beauty regime with a primer that fills in fine lines and pores for a flawless finish! Give Smashbox’s Photo Finish Foundation Primer a try. It helps to inhibit the destruction of collagen so you can look flawless for years to come at your corner office.

Sleepless night from nerves? Cover up those under-eye bags, puffiness, or any other perfections with Tarte’s Dark Circle Defense. The finely milled light refracting minerals actually brighten skin to help camouflage dark circles, puffiness, refness, fine lines and wrinkles. And there’s 56% reduction in eye puffiness after 4 weeks–but we know you’ll nail that interview the first go-round!

Sparkle and glitter aren’t office appropriate. Opt for a matte shadow in a natural hue on the lids. We love Revlon’s ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow in In The Buff. Better yet, go for a thin line of smudged pencil eyeliner. Sue Devitt’s Eye Intensifier Pencil is great. Nylon and a number of other ingredients lock in moisture and expand and contract with facial movements without creasing to create a long-lasting, luminious eye.

Stop fussing with and reapplying your makeup! Ditch the trips to the ladies’ and mist on a product that holds concealer, foundation and eyeshadow in place for up to 16 hours. Skindinavia Makeup Finishes creates a flawless look so there’s less touch ups throughout the day. Since it resists heat and humidity, the mist is also great for when that mid-interview perspiration occurs!

OTHER TIPS:

•For your face, you probably won’t need much more than concealer and loose powder. If you have blemishes or uneven skin tone, by all means, use a foundation! But if you don’t need much coverage, just skip it.
•Wear lipstick, not lip gloss. Gloss is too shiny and youthful for a formal occasion like an interview.
•Well-groomed brows show that you pay attention to details. Tweeze any stray hairs, and if you have brow gel, use it to set your brows in place. (A tiny bit of hair gel, diluted with water, can do the same thing.)
•Applying a little bit of blush makes everyone look healthier. Use this rather than bronzer for a natural-looking, healthy glow.
•Don’t wear any perfume. “Oh, but I love my signature scent,” you might be saying. Yes, and it probably smells lovely, but what if your interviewer has an allergy? Skip it.
•Unless you have naturally clean, even, hangnail-free nails, get a manicure. It doesn’t matter whether your nails are long or short, but they should be neatly filed. Don’t opt for a French manicure — many find it dated.
