3 Things To Make This Week Great with Makeup University

Hi ya Gorgeous!
How you doin’ these days?
I was just thinking to myself, I’m really liking the weekly digest, though I also like being more choosy of the brands I work with since now I have so little space to write – I only say yes to the weird and wonderful. Let that be  a clue to you about what is coming your way! Now, this week,  I am introducing you to LAFCO New York: Luxury Articles & Fragrance Co!  The body creme and hand creme are amazing!

These Italian crafted body products are rich, thick, luxurious with a fresh scent and not greasy! There are several fragrances to choose from – I have the Mint Tisane and it’s spring break perfect! Oh. But wait. Not yet. Weird, though my son’s spring break is at the end of April, three weeks before school gets out. Seriously?

Get your own LAFCO online here http://lafco.com

In the video I have what I consider, the most important makeup tip ever! So watch it!

Now, 2017 for me is a year to get back to reading a book a week. It’s doable for me and pushes me to learn something new, strengthen old skills and keep moving forward.

This week I am re-reading Change Agent by Os Hillman. I picked this up at the Hollywood Prayer Network a few years back when I attended a prayer meeting at The Garland in Studio City California. Whoa. The book is great – though for me personally the big take away was that hotel.

It’s so old skool Hollywood glam at the base of Universal Studios. I loved it! They have “dive-in” movies and it’s my dream to take the cast and crew there and screen our film Jael A Western Tale there and then binge watch  the Tremors series while floating in the pool sipping something bubbly! A gal can dream can’t she?

Now enjoy the video! Remember to subscribe if you haven’t already!

These body and hand creams retail for $35 and can be found at http://www.lafco.com

Enjoy the teaching tip and please share in the comments how you wash your brushes!

This week’s book read is: Change Agent by Os Hillman
Get it! It’s good!

Thank you for watching!

The REcap: Generation Beauty update and more

Hi ya Gorgeous,
This has been some week. Thank God I’m feeling better and ready to get back to normal life.

This short video is a recap of what’s coming up for Makeup University in the next week!

There’s a little something in it for those attending Generation Beauty and those who are not, stay tuned for that video coming up.

I will also have an in depth review of this new brand I’ve been introduced to called KiwiGlow. It’s the lightest, oil moisturizer ever and the scent is amazing!

And now for the recap video…

How to use the Generation Beauty app for NYC event

Holla Gorgeous!

Happy Monday. I love Mondays!

Now it’s over a week since I have attended the Generation Beauty event in Los Angeles at the LA Live event deck.

Loved it! In fact, I will have my review videos and product review posts coming out this week. Why so long?

Because when I got home last Monday, I instantly launched into LEGO Robotic Camp Mom mode for my Mancub’s week of engineering and building robots.

I created a “how to” video for the Generation Beauty app. Why? Because it’s news I wish I had before I got to the event. Yes, I had a plan. But I didn’t have enough of a plan or a Plan B, Plan C and a Plan C 1/2.

Now about that video…

Are You Using Too Much Product?

Ever wonder how many pumps of primer you really need? Find the exact amounts for each beauty product you use now

Are You Using Too Much Product?

This is a TotalBeauty.com skin care products article

One pump or two of the costly serum? Is a dime-sized amount of moisturizer enough or should we aim for a quarter? Turns out most women use too much (or too little) product on a regular basis. Find out the correct application amounts for all your beauty products with this vlog.

Watch it

Hello Gorgeous !
The amazing Christmas season is winding down and now it’s time to prepare for a New Year’s Eve celebration to bring in the 2012 year!

This photo of Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is taken of her on Christmas. I love her wearing the berry tone instead of a traditional red.

The former Kate Middleton who is now the Mrs. Prince William and Duchess of Cambridge always steps out in style-so I am looking forward to seeing what she wears for a New Year’s Eve party.
Enjoy this short how to video using the Water for Elephants collection from Avon for Reese Witherspoon’s character Marlena.

Products used:
Avon Ever Lasting foundation
Avon Nocturnal Quad eye shadow
Avon Glimmer Sticks in G07
Avon Smokifier eyeliner in Black
Avon Extra lengthening mascara in Black
Avon Super Shock lipgloss in melon
Cheeks are Borghese Spectra bronzer

*Special note-normally I would pop on some false eyelashes-but I never see Kate wearing any! Not even on her wedding day!

Happy New Year’s 2012 to you! May it be your best year ever!

Burn More Fat The Easy Way

Hello Gorgeous!
Happy Hanukkah continues and Merry Christmas is almost here!
I’ve got a short how to video to get the look of the lead character Marlena played by Reese Witherspoon.
I think the look lends wonderfully to a candlelight service for Christmas! And stay tuned because there is a New Year’s Eve look coming up shortly using more Avon products.

Products used:
Foundation: Avon Everlasting
Blush: Borghese Spectra
Eyeshadow: Avon Textured Teal quad
Eyeliner: Avon Glimmer Stick in G07 black ice
Eyeliner: Avon Professional Eye Smokifier in very black *whoa-you need to get this!
Mascara: Avon Super Extend mascara in black
Lips: Avon super shock lipgloss in melon *whoa-you really need to get this!

I do like the shadows, but find they are not high pigmented so you may need to layer a few applications to get a deeper tone on the eye.

The 2 stand out favorites of all the products I tried are the Smokifier-wow, that’s a new and good product, and the huge lip gloss called super shock. Get it!

Special thanks to Avon for sharing these beautiful cosmetics with me-and farewell and thank you to Avon CEO Andrea Jung for all the years of service to a cosmetic company that helps build up women based business!

We gave three women a gorgeous makeover fitting for their special occasion needs. See each woman’s before and after looks — then steal the hair and makeup tips for yourself.

Hello Gorgeous!
The American Music Awards-or AMA’s for short were on and the looks were interesting, but nobody stood out until Katy Perry took the stage in a dress that was vintage in design pattern but neoprene like a wetsuit mixed with pleathery pink bodice and rhinestone studded spandex-or so it looked to me.
I love the dress design minus the big cleavage spot-too distracting.
Her hair and makeup is perfect-and so retro, and so gorgeous!
Now-I’ve done a makeup tutorial, and though I know how to roll my own hair, I suggest you watch a You Tube tutorial on how to do your own.
Enjoy this short video-and the products used in it are:
Foundation: Murad Skin Perfecting Primer in dewy finish
Blush: Milani Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
Eyeshadows: Smashbox In Bloom Palette
Eyebrows: GloMinerals Sable shadow
Eyeliner: Sheer Cover Cream Eyeliner in Espresso
Lip liner: NYC #954
Lipstick: Milani: 112 Vivacious Fuschia

Getting a mani and a pedi is one of those mini luxuries we look forward to at the end of a long, hard day. But is this indulgence actually a health risk in disguise? Turns out you can leave a nail salon with wounds, bacterial infections, and diseases along with those pretty, freshly painted nails. See the 12 secrets that your nail technician isn’t telling you now.

Get secrets

Hello Gorgeous!
I’ve got a short tutorial video for you to show you how simple it is to use a makeup finishing spray-like Skindinavia.
A makeup finishing spray is not just for professional makeup artists-in fact; it’s perfect for busy moms, brides and beginners because all of us are so busy that once we get our makeup on in the morning-touching up isn’t always possible.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for the ‘part 2’ in the series to show the results several hours later as well as a more dramatic makeup look.

I would also like to introduce you to a new mineral makeup line I just tried called Everyday Minerals. You can see the starter kit in the photo along with the Everyday Minerals smudger shadow brush. The tubes are actually a roll on mineral makeup for use anywhere on the face. It’s a perfect time to create a costume party look using the Everyday Minerals makeup and setting them in place for your costume party events at the end of the October month.
