FACE atelier Ultra Skin – My Review

Hi ya Gorgeous!
Say hello and welcome to the month of August! This year, 2017, is now officially more than half over and Christmas is only 146 days away.

With that in mind and upcoming holiday events and photos – it may be time to try a new face product, so meet FACE atelier Ultra skin foundation.

Many many thanks to them for sending me a sample in the color 6.  I love the lightweight feel and  texture. The finish is beautiful and dries down to a soft powder that can be built up from sheer to full coverage. I really like the look and  feel, though, I experienced a series of pimples and breakouts along my lower cheeks and jawline.

Gack! I really like the product but won’t be able to continue using it because it took a full week to heal the breakout and I had to work like crazy during that time and I can’t risk another breakout. I know for me, when I saw that the silicone was a major ingredient in this PETA approved product, I knew right then that I was risking a pimple or two.

It’s worth a try, and a sample can be purchased from their website so you can try it before committing to the $50.00 full size price.

Meet Ultra Skin – the ultimate lightweight foundation!  Its
silicone-based formula perfects the skin with a long-lasting satin
finish with light to medium buildable coverage. The creamy, soufflé-like
texture produces an airbrush-like result and is perfect if you want a
foundation that can be applied like a moisturizer without compromising
performance.  Ultra Skin’s 11 shades cover the lightest to richest
complexions and are color-matched to award-winning Ultra Foundation.
There are three new shades – .5, 8.5,11.5 – that can be also used to
adjust Ultra Foundation shades.
No primer needed!  It’s built into Ultra Skin’s
sophisticated formula that also has soft-focus properties, diminishing
the look of fine lines and wrinkles. The flawless, satin finish doesn’t
need powder to set and thanks to the silicone-based formula, it’s ideal
for mature, troubled or sensitive skin. Read more about silicones.
Ultra Skin works in perfect harmony with the
FACE atelier’s complete complexion range, including Ultra Foundation’s
beloved adjusters: 0-, 0+, 0++ and Heat. The pump applicator and tube
make it perfect for travel or a pro kit. Suitable for all skin types,
water and sebum resistant Ultra Skin performs brilliantly in hot, humid
and arid climates.

Sante America? Have you tried it yet?

I love trying new makeup! And when this brand from Germany showed up to the blog I squealed with delight!

Now in this picture there is everything that arrived to test and try.

The products are minimally packaged, and cruelty free as well as 100% natural and the company meets the strict criteria for the Cdertified Natural Cosmetics in accordance with

BDIH. Now the next photo shows the few things I selected to make a light, playful sunny bunny look since it’s rather warm today! If I were near water I would say this makeup is great for a boat ride!

I’m using the moisturizing foundation, two creme eyeshadow pencils, liquid eyeliner, mascara and lipstick with coordinating gloss.

So I start with clean skin that is moisturized and I apply a thin layer of the soft cream foundation with is full of cuuacu butter and pomegranate extract. I blend evenly with a small foundation brush.

Next for a simple two toned shadow I use the white pearlescent highlighter pencil on the brow and through the tear duct. This pencil could easily double as a highlighter on lips and cheeks too!

Or anywhere that you need to add a little bit of oomph!

I color the entire eyelid with the light blue shadow. Oh I feel so sixties and Cher Bono with this look. Good thing I have straight hair in these photos to match the sixties boating bunny makeup look I’m making.

Now what pics you don’t see are me applying a
thin layer of Makeup Forever HD powder all over and then a thin layer of pink blush.

This is Shadrach my studio intern. He works for tuna and in most cases doesn’t work one bit.

Back to the makeup: I am using the Sante America liquid eyeliner that has a nib similiar to a felt marker. This means that you have more control of the line you draw but the nib can wipe on color and at the same time wipe it off. The secret to using this is apply a thin coat and then draw over it again til you get the desired depth of color.

I apply two coats of the black mascara. I have two thoughts on this: 1. I love natural mascara because it’s petroleum and pthalate free meaning good for my eyes and lashes. 2. It’s two coats in and still not as thick as I like my mascara to be which is the benefit of toxic mascara that a little bit goes a long way. *sigh* these are the choices you have to make!
I finish my look with the #11 lipstick which is sheer with a hint of shimmer in a warm light brown tone meaning perfect f or everyday wear! There is a matching pot of gloss that is slightly darker in tone and I love it! You can never have enough lipgloss!

SANTE AMERICA is a unique combination of natural ingredients, gentle formulas and sleek biodegradable packaging that delivers skin-safe, eco-friendly, statement making looks. Developed and manufactured in Germany. The products are devoid of gluten, synthetic coloring agents, frangrances and perservatives. In short, it’s full of good stuff!

Dermablend Smooth Indulgence-foundation & concealer

Total Beauty readers spill their biggest hair woes — these expert tricks fix them all

Fix Your Hair Issues Now

This is a TotalBeauty.com hair care article

From frizz to flatness, celeb hairstylist Kevin Mancuso helps solve all of your hair issues.

Hello gorgeous! Are you getting ready for your bridal makeup and a wedding day beauty to remember? Or are you putting makeup on for a resume ready face that gets hired? How about are you a model getting your makeup on for your first photoshoot to make a comp card with?

All is good if you are I share these questions with you because I just tested the new Dermablend Smooth Indulgence line of foundation, concealer and long wear makeup remover.

Remember-most products work their best when in a system from their own line. I know some of you may like to mix and match your makeup brands, but in this case the Dermablend Smooth Indulgence system works syngergistically together!

Start with a clean face that is moisturized and ready for makeup. Get two synthetic brushes in different sizes: large and small! Use your small size to work the concealer with and your large brush to blend the large areas of the face.
The Dermablend foundation actually comes with a sponge inside-which is a nice addition though I prefer a brush because it’s cleaner and saves product in the long run.

Who needs the Smooth Indulgence line from Dermablend? Anyone with minor to moderate skin imperfections or who is experiencing symptoms of rosacea, redness, uneven skin tone, and minor acne scars. Also the Smooth Indulgence has spf 20 sunscreen protection, a natural looking coverage, is long-lasting in wear and provides an all day hydration. The box does say it’s suitable for sensitive skin-which I don’t really have but it feels so good on that I would believe that it
could be a product for those with sensitivities.

Now, in the phot oto the left I have applied concealer all over my eyes, and over my eyebrows to test the ‘bleached’ look that is current Fall 2010 beauty trend but that I can’t fathom doing! I am not bleaching my eyebrows!

In the photo you can see that I am applying a wee squirt of foundation to my brush and about to blend all over and down my neck. I do like the product but I noticed during application that it sets up fast so you either need to blend fast or apply to small areas of the face at a time! A little bit of product went a long way and I did two think coats to finish my face and blend into the concealer. In the photo I did not set the makeup with my favorite powder, the Makeup Forever HD translucent because I wanted you to see the full effect of the Dermablend Smooth Indulgence product.

It photographs nice I think! Also, look at the coverage! You can’t see one freckle! It did last all day, through alot of videos and photos, and wore very well into the evening. I did need to use the long wear makeup remover because my natural organic stuff couldn’t budge it! So I washed first with my normal wash and when it would move I tried the long wear remover on a scrublet and it began to melt away! A note that I love about the product is that they are using a natural sunscreen instead of a chemical based one-this product is loaded with Titanium dioxide 6.1%!

Now here you see me in the bridal veil. Why?

Because Sunday September 26th is the Arizona Bridal Affair and I will be there to emcee the show, and also have a booth full of goodies for you!
