Hi ya GorgeousHow’s your Monday now? Or should I say, how’s your summer? Here in Arizona, the summer is in full broil and school for the cub starts back in 3  short weeks …or are they short? He is definitely ready to go back and see his friends which brings to mind the question that year round school, with a 2 week break in between semesters would do just fine. On to the makeup!

I recently received some very lovely samples from LORAC of their color story collection for the reboot of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

Something to know going forward, I am ride or die for the original
1990’s animated version and none to thrilled about another warmed over
version of an Oscar winning trophy of a film.  In short, I have not seen the film yet, and when it arrives on Netflix, I will let you know my thoughts.

In the meantime, I think that LORAC has knocked it out of the park again, with Disney, and another amazing, collector edition of a makeup color story for a film. I was SO impressed with the Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales collection ,though this is just as stunning.

I have the eyeshadow pallet, cheek color palette, lipglosses and lipsticks and I’m beyond delighted! The colors are everyday perfect and if you know LORAC products, you know how soft, silky, smooth, blendable, pigmented, wet or dry they are!

I love all of the lip colors and the lipsticks or lip glosses can be worn alone, with liner, paired together or mixed and matched!

If you are a fan of anything Disney, Belle, Beast, the film or LORAC and special editions, rush to get these now because who knows how long they will be around!

Remember to let me know in the comments – if you were going to buy a film makeup color story – what products do you want to buy?

I’m
asking for your help so as I develop the makeup color story for BEARLY
film, Jael, ZBoy and Nascar Nights – I want to be sure and create the
top products that people are most interested in buying!

Personally, I live in bronzer and gloss – so those are top items for me to create! Looking forward to your thoughts!

These items are available on Amazon – if you need free shipping:
Lipgloss $34.00 http://amzn.to/2tzhNki
Cheeks $28.00 http://amzn.to/2utaA9X

Find these items at http://loraccosmetics.com or Ulta Beauty!

A DIY project is for decoupaging and putting faux finish on new furniture to make it look old, it is not for doing the roof on your house.

The benefits of hiring a professional roofing contractor for any type of work or repair that you need done on your home or business roof can be broken down into 3 simple reasons:

1) Danger – it may look easy to go up and down the ladder carrying tools and roofing supplies but it’s not

2) Experience – remember the first time you did something? If it was anything technical, it may have taken a few more tries to perfect the activity – with your roof, the covering on your home that you owe a mortgage on and houses your family members and possession, do you really want to risk not getting it done right the first time?

3) License. Bonded. Insured.  A professional roofing contractor like Downriver Roofers in the greater Downriver area of Michigan have been in business for over 20 years and that experience shows in the work that is on display today in local homes and businesses.

The license, bonding and insurance of a pro roofing contractor is benefit enough to not diy your roof and then add on top of that the professional insurance claims consultants that are in house with Downriver Roofers – there is a better way to fix your roof and Downriver Roofers can help you with that.

Contact Downriver Roofers today at 734-548-9919 today for a free quote and written estimate!

Hi ya Gorgeous,
Today we take a break from our normally scheduled beauty talk to focus on something near to my heart and important.

In the United States, today is Veteran’s Day and it’s our chance to honor and remember the men and women of the military who have sacrificed their lives in service to our country.

http://veteransday-2016.com/

It’s very important, when you see someone, usually an old guy, wearing a Vietnam Veteran hat, that you tell the person, “thank you for your service and welcome home”. These boys, when they returned from the war, were met with disdain due to the political climate at the time. It wasn’t fair and it wasn’t right though it happened.

I do this every chance I get and it’s always met with grace and gratitude.

Here’s some details from the Veteran’s Day website:

Veterans Day is the memorial for
honoring American soldiers who served and sacrificed their lives in all
the warfare from World War I (WWI). The original name was Armistice Day
which marked the end WWI on the 11th hour, 11th day and 11th month of
1918. An anonymous US soldier was laid to rest at the national cemetery
at Arlington. Similar events took place in Arc de Triomphe, France and
Westminster Abbey in England on the same day. Since 1954 it was renamed
as Veterans Day in The US, declaring it as a formal holiday.
Origin
World War I started on 28th of July in
1914 between the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and
Ottoman Empire) and the Allied Forces (Empire of Britain, Russia,
France, USA, Japan, Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Belgium, Portugal,
Romania, Greece, Hejaz and Siam). This war took toll of 9 million
military personnel and 7 million civilian lives.
And now a lil beauty talk … Rosie the Riveter how to video

Hi ya Gorgeous,

So I know that the summer can be a slump for some due to a desire to travel and have adventures while being low on cashflow cramps your style! Well, here is an idea for you to take the things you have at home, your passion for creating and desire to hit the road; mix all three and put on Etsy for the funds and fun you need!

Meet Dani Marie from Handmade Seller Magazine, she has some tips to help you make money on Etsy.

Title: What it Takes to Sell Crafts on Etsy—3 Key Areas to Focus On

Woman using glue gun when working on new project

First off, thanks for having me on the Block! I’m honored to be here and help crafters understand a little bit more about what it takes to build a business around their crafts or art. Let me start by explaining a little bit more about Etsy for those who don’t know. Etsy is a platform where anyone can open up their own virtual shop and sell their handmade or vintage items. Millions of people shop on Etsy which makes it a great place to get exposure for your items without building your own website and marketing on your own. Due to the low investment of opening up a shop with them, it’s become insanely popular over the last few years and many sellers have turned it into their full-time career.

However, it isn’t all sunshine and roses selling on Etsy. Our job at the Handmade Seller magazine is to help people understand and implement all the steps of being successful online. Thanks to their popularity, Etsy now has nearly 2 million sellers on their site which means that the competition has gotten fierce. It’s no longer as simple as listing products and watching the sales come in. Sellers now have to implement good marketing techniques in order to rise above the competition and get more views and sales.

3 Things to Focus on If You Want to Be Successful on Etsy

  1. Photos: With millions of products on Etsy, your photos have to “stand out among the crowd.” Shoppers can’t see, touch, feel, or smell your items in person which means that they are completely relying on your pictures. If someone else has a worse product but better photos, they will get the sale. Learn good photography techniques or invest in a photographer.
  2. SEO: SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. When shoppers search for terms related to your product such as “Yellow Bowtie,” the site has no way of knowing whether your product is a yellow bowtie unless you put that term in your title and tags. You should have as many relevant keywords as possible in your titles/tags, but they need to be terms that people actually shop for. Use the Google Keyword Planner tool to find popular terms.
  3. Product Category: Believe it or not, listing a bunch of hodge-podge items in your shop is a bad idea. Have 10 items in the same product category, such as purses, is better than having 20 items in all different categories. Why? Because you have no one to target if you have all different items. Imagine marketing to moms and trying to sell them on your baby blanket, but when they go to your shop they see 19 other items that aren’t baby blankets. This does not make you look like the “best baby blanket maker” in the country and it causes them to leave your shop because they don’t have time to sift through all of your listings to find the one thing you promoted to them.

At the Handmade Seller magazine we take our readers step-by-step through every important topic such as SEO, photography, marketing, business biographies, and much more. The goal is to show you how to sell on Etsy and be successful from the start, rather than floundering around online for 6 months with no sales.

 Hi ya Gorgeous!

The Atlanta adventure continues…today is St Patrick’s day and I have a long set day. So here is a throwback Thursday photo of the St Patrick’s Day parade llama I saw on Saturday.

On my one day off I see as many sights as I can, like this iconic home of Margaret Mitchell  who wrote Gone with the Wind.

Today, I have a throwback Thursday video for you on eating clean.
Why?
Because the celebration seasons seem to be running in to each other and there isn’t enough time in between to eat clean and detox!

Enjoy the video and thank you for watching!

Holla Gorgeous!

Happy Monday. I love Mondays!

Now it’s over a week since I have attended the Generation Beauty event in Los Angeles at the LA Live event deck.

Loved it! In fact, I will have my review videos and product review posts coming out this week. Why so long?

Because when I got home last Monday, I instantly launched into LEGO Robotic Camp Mom mode for my Mancub’s week of engineering and building robots.

I created a “how to” video for the Generation Beauty app. Why? Because it’s news I wish I had before I got to the event. Yes, I had a plan. But I didn’t have enough of a plan or a Plan B, Plan C and a Plan C 1/2.

Now about that video…
