7 Ways to Look Gorgeous for the Holidays
From dramatic to glamorous, these celebrity makeup looks work for every festive occasion
As the invitations start rolling in for holiday parties and New Year’s Eve bashes, you’re probably dreading having to figure out the best way to glam up your look. Well, look no further — we’ve got seven dazzling celebrity looks with step-by-step how-tos courtesy of American Idol chief makeup artist Mezhgan that will help you turn heads at every holiday soiree.
Have you noticed that the holiday retail season started on November 1st? Do you remember when it was the day after Thanksgiving…otherwise known as black Friday because it took most retailers out of the red in commissions, sales and income?
Well, this year, the retail season seems to be on one long limping stretch to get your dollars. Beauty and style is no different! You will see many spas and salons offering deals to get you to come in and use their services.
With some planning, you will be able to budget for at home spa treatments and salon splurges for your really big parties and events.
Why I say to start planning your holiday look now, be it a new red lipstick, a new shade or tone of hair color, getting a spa pedicure or simply getting some new colors for your makeup palette is because week after week I have seen major retailers plus stores such as Sephora and Ulta with coupons in the Sunday paper.
So if you planned ahead, you can get the hottest colors of the season on sale with a coupon and save time and money! I love it!
Stay tuned for the “Favorite Things” story coming out in the next week. I have modeled a story for the blog after the show that Oprah does where she gives out to the audience, one of everything that she found the past year that she loves.
Well, I too would love to bless you with beauty goodies that I have come across this year and loved! You will have to email the day of the story posting and be ready …because this time, it’s first come first serve! Normally, you have to answer questions and I randomly pick an email with the correct answers…but alas…this is in the spirit of giving! So as the emails come in I will be handing out names of winners and getting the product in the mail asap!
I truly believe this is going to be the best holiday season, the most memorable Thanksgiving and Christmas ever!
